After a summer packed with concerts, Black Sabbath was my final stop. The band, which is 75% intact from their ’60s-’70s heyday, was amazing. I was a little bit terrified of the crowd, but they were just there to listen to music. Having just seen JAY Z, I noticed that my arm was moving up and down to the music, while most people around me were head-banging. That made me think that while different people listen to different kinds of music, music makes everybody move.
A couple more notes: during an extended drum solo, the lights were blasted into everybody’s eyes for like ten minutes. After a while, the light started to look like tigers and unicorns. (That’s probably the point… LOL)
When they played “Iron Man,” for the first time EVER I was able to air guitar the CORRECT NOTES! (I only know how to play “Iron Man” and “Smoke on the Water” on guitar… Deep Purple here I come!)
